Introducing Gantri Digital Gift Card
The long-awaited gift card is finally here. Today we announced Digital Gift Card, a creative new way for you to share the world of Gantri lights with your loved ones.
In designing our first ever gift cards, we wanted to take a step back and rethink the entire digital gifting experience. We know that picking the perfect light for your loved ones is hard, especially when there are so many design options and sizes to choose from. That’s why gifting a gift card is such a liberating option. But we also want our gift cards to represent something more than just a dollar amount, because a gift is also a symbol of how much you care for the ones you love. So how do we do that?
As a company, we’re all about design and community. So the first thing we did was to think about how we can tie this into the design of our gift cards - even in digital form. Meet Kelly Malka, Maggie Chiang and Saint Rose - three talented illustrators that created our first collection of designs. We asked each artist to share their idea of home, and show them in their distinctive illustration styles. The result is three gift card designs that you won’t find anywhere else.
Another aspect we paid lots of attention to is the entire gifting experience. Not only can you schedule the gift card to be sent on the date of your choosing, you can add a personal message that will blend seamlessly with the emails and pages your recipient sees. What’s more, when they accept the gift card, the amount is automatically added to their Gantri account. No code needed. So they can start finding the perfect light for their home right away.
At Home with Kelly by Kelly Malka
"I was inspired by all the many activities we do to keep ourselves busy during this time, activities that we may not have had space for before quarantine."
Kelly Malka is a freelance illustrator and designer based in Los Angeles. While balancing her work in advertising and taking on projects from non-profit and cause based organizations, she realized the powerful tool art played in spreading awareness and making an emotional impact. She decided to fully transition to freelance to focus on illustration and meaningful projects as of this January. Some of her favorite works include projects for Nike’s LA Marathon and HP’s Windows of Hope.
Creature Comforts by Maggie Chiang
"When I think of lighting, I immediately think of something cozy. I wanted to show that feeling in the illustration that I created. Living comfortably, cozy in a beautiful home."
Maggie Chiang is an illustrator based in the bay area of California. Her artwork often showcases the relationship between humanity and nature, evoking the longing for adventure and the pursuit of the unknown. Maggie’s work has been showcased in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and on the walls of Majordomo Las Vegas.
Still by Saint Rose
"I’m very good at being at home, it’s where I’m most happy. I wanted the illustration to have that same comforting feeling of home. My thought was to create a piece that replicates our current world. It speaks to finding comfort even when you’re a isolated and a little alone."
Kgabo Mametja, who works under the moniker Saint Rose, is a South African based illustrator. Artistically inclined from a young age, Kgabo started art school at the age of 16 and eventually went on to design school where she picked up illustration. She strives to break stereotypes cast upon females through representation -- showcasing diverse, unapologetic women through an equally bold color palette.
